Jim has been teaching LKR guitar and Modern Band classes for over 10 years. He is presently Program Outreach Coordinator for the San Francisco Bay Area. Jim loves playing guitar and first learned to play folk and finger-picking styles while in college. However, the real first love instrument is the trumpet! He loves blowing on the old New Orleans jazz standards in the tradition of Louis Armstrong.
Jim loves getting kids involved in learning the blues. Why? Because it's a chance for early learners to create and play together in an important musical structure that is the framework for much modern band music today.
