Modern Band concepts can help you create amazing lesson plans and boost student achievement for long-term music goals! This workshop will demonstrate how you can apply Modern Band skills to build  goals and “workshop model” lesson plans for any music class or ensemble. We will review the basics of lesson planning, improvise together as we experience a workshop model lesson plan in action, and demonstrate how they can be used in your classroom. By the end, session participants will have a variety of tools for planning lessons for all kinds of classes, including lessons teaching improvisation and composition. All skill levels welcome!
